Fairly quick 'response' to A Perfect Circle's song, "Blue", and random mental meanderings as of late. It's really only one 'interpretation'--I have so many more of this song, and this one isn't the best or most interesting... but. Err, I drew it anyway?


I'm also reminded of other songs.
"Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts" [Bob Dylan]
--had already taken all of the dye out of her hair = indicative of a rite of passage [in my mind, a'least]; thus DL's hair is undyed, and even her markings are gone.


And... Mm. The rest would be rather hard to explain, even if I felt like doing so. So, um...interpret it as you will? I don't know if it's so much symbolic as...meaningful. Something.

nice line quality, and the lighting is great, but hey i expected that :)
the blood is nice...or is it ink....??
i like how the background with the cresent moon reminds me of the Apc logo..lol..

Clean lines , great coloring and in overal a wonderful work ! The blue blood was indeed very suprising I love et :+fave:

I don't think it's really anything 'tangible', like blood or ink... it's more 'representational' of influences and tendencies--ultimate eventualities. If that makes sense. An abstract concept, so acute and severe, that it becomes manifested physically.

If I hadn't drawn their hair covering their eyes, you'd see the same dark blue clouding over their irises.



What does APC stand for?

I do wonder what that song means...I like the way you chose to interperet it though. Also really like the color contrast here.
