An offer.
An offer of Hope that I'll willingly die defending, even when faith in myself is gone.
An offer of support that I'll never revoke, crippled though I may be.
An offer of friendship that will never fade on my part, will always, forever stand.
An offer, a promise, to never give up on you, even when you do.
You'll be hard pressed to get rid of me, and I'm going to keep pounding at your door until I see you in a better place. Even when I can't shout anymore and my fists are raw and there's blood on your door, I'll still be there. Told you I'm more stubborn.
...An offer, as I've said. Take it as you will, I suppose.
yama, this is amazing. not only does your artwork never cease to amaze me--this piece particularly, the blue strikes the viewer sharply yet gently over the otherwise somewhat sepiatic (is that the right word? probably not), dark background (not to mention the expressions). But the message behind this is one that is a rare sight, and can be so honestly spoken only from the strongest of bonds between one and another. I can't help but smile seeing that you're so devoted to another's well-being, be it directed to one or many, and this is an honestly beautiful piece of artwork, both in mind and in sight.
Y'are more stubborn .. and I'll return your offer.. in any and every way I can.

I'm very drawn to the contrasting highlights of blue and orange. The shading is done really well, too; to the clothing it adds weight, to the sky, depth. Beautiful work as usual!
Oh, wow. This is very cool. The detailed mix between the poem/prose and the picture definately mix well, and it really gives a sense of futile depth to the piece. Very nice job.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
